12th Annual “And the Winner is…” Red Carpet Event Benefits Tracy’s Kids

We had a fabulous time on February 13, 2017  celebrating the movies, actors — and our REAL stars — our Tracy’s Kids patients and the art therapists who work with them!  Second Lady Karen Pence, a Tracy’s Kids board member, and Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill received the charity’s Courage Awards at the annual fundraiser.

Among the crowd celebrating these heroes were: Maryland First Lady Yumi Hogan, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) and his wife Marcelle Leahy, Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Rep. Ted Deutch (D-Fla.), Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), charity founder Matt Gerson and Comcast’s David Cohen.

12th Annual “And The Winner Is…” Red Carpet Event!

Join Tracy’s Kids on February 13, 2017 as we walk the red carpet before eating, drinking and then watching one of the seven nominated films that we will screen right in the heart of Hollywood’s award season.  Proceeds from the evening support Tracy’s Kids pediatric art therapy programs, which help young cancer patients cope with the emotional stress and trauma from cancer and its treatment.

Thank you for making this work possible!

This note from the older brother of a former patient at DC’s Children’s National Medical Center is the best ‘thank you’ we can pass on to the friends and supporters who make our work possible —
Dear Tracy’s Kids, I just want to say thank you for creating this amazing program to help kids. The art therapy room was very helpful for me when my brother was going through stuff. So I can only imagine how much you all help kids every day. I hope this (contribution) helps to continue this amazing program.”
